The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce and Cox Communications are pleased to announce that David Brancaccio, host of American Public Media’s Marketplace Morning Report, will be one of three expert speakers discussing the future of the economy at Economic Outlook 2016. The Valley’s premier economic forecast event, Economic Outlook 2016 provides attendees with the latest research and expert analysis on our financial climate on Wednesday, September 2 from 7-10 a.m. at the Arizona Biltmore, A Waldorf Astoria Resort.
Brancaccio will join leading industry experts Jim Huntzinger and Elliott Pollack as keynote speakers and will provide valuable insights into the global, national and local economies to help business leaders and organizations navigate the changing economic landscape of 2016.
As an award-winning journalist, David Brancaccio will share his experiences and insights about the state of the global economy, primarily focusing on sharing examples of how global actions impact our own economic activity. Throughout his 20+ year career, Brancaccio has investigated segments of the global economy including the European markets, international relations and innovative technologies.
Financial markets expert Jim Huntzinger, executive vice president and chief investment officer of BOK Financial, will discuss the national economy and his impression of improving economic indicators. With more than 30 years of experience in the securities and investment industries, Huntzinger is uniquely qualified to discuss the market, its volatility and impact on our economy.
Veteran Arizona economist Elliott Pollack will examine the commercial real estate forecast and other aspects of our state’s economy for a look at what the future could bring. Pollack’s four decades of experience bring insight that you will find enlightening, engaging and essential to better understanding the forces shaping our economy.
This year’s Economic Outlook will address the following questions and more:
- What challenges and opportunities lie ahead as our economy continues to grow?
- Will Arizona see continued improvements in job growth, consumer spending and economic development?
- What sectors are driving U.S. economic growth?
- As the U.S. economy gains momentum, is the global economy following suit?
- What are the United States’ key trading partners doing to stimulate growth?
- Do political and social instability continue to be the top global risks?
- How are fiscal crises in key economies affecting the national and global economies?
Cox Communications will again showcase its mobile technologies with the Cox Media Mobile Survey, which invites attendees at Economic Outlook 2016 to weigh in on their predictions for the coming year and to share their sentiments via text message on local industry growth, national policy and local industry growth.
