Strong, calm and quietly confident with a warm compassionate aura, Lillian Garcia notices when someone needs help. She strives to serve and assist others in developing their strengths.
Garcia is the chief volunteer services officer for the Arizona-New Mexico-El Paso region for American Red Cross and she’s responsible for about 2,500 volunteers. Through her work with Red Cross, she’s improved health education and assisted in the empowerment of community members.
“You can’t go to school if you’re hungry or sick,” Garcia said, adding that she works so that “all children can have access to healthcare and they’re healthy and strong.”
