The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce (GPCC) seeks nominations for its 2016 IMPACT Awards, which honor the accomplishments of outstanding Valley businesses and the positive impact they’ve made on the Greater Phoenix business community.
Nominations—which can come from anyone in the community—are open from now until January 8, 2016, and can be submitted through the Chamber’s website at www.phoenixchamber.com/impact. Two businesses, one with fewer than 250 employees and one with 250 or more employees, will be honored in each of the four categories: Community Champion, Economic Driver, Entrepreneurial Excellence and Response to Adversity. An IMPACT Business of the Year will also be selected from among the four category recipients in each business sector and will be announced at the 29th Annual IMPACT Awards Luncheon on May 18, 2016.
New this year: The IMPACTful Nonprofit Award
The IMPACTful Nonprofit Award is a new award category in the Chamber’s annual IMPACT Awards. This new award is open to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations and will recognize the value of nonprofits in the Valley, while also taking into consideration the unique situation, scope and abilities of a nonprofit organization. Nominate a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization for our inaugural IMPACTful Award at phoenixchamber.com/IMPACTful.
Since 1987, the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce has recognized local companies that demonstrate superior levels of success while maintaining extensive community involvement, that excel entrepreneurially, that have survived tremendous adversity or that contribute to the Valley’s economic vitality. The GPCC encourages community members to nominate a deserving business — or even their own business — that has a strong footprint in the Valley that are deserving of special recognition.
“The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce has celebrated exemplary businesses in the Valley for nearly three decades and it is an honor to continue this great tradition,” said Todd Sanders, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. “We are proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of local companies whose innovation, economic impact, entrepreneurial spirit and leadership move our state forward and make a positive impact on the Greater Phoenix business community.”
