Jodi Low’s biggest fear is allowing herself—and the attendees of her packed workshops and interactive classes—to be imprisoned by a life of complacency, hesitation, and unconsidered repetition. During her “Having It All” workshop, she uses a mix of proven training techniques, real-world life experience, positivity, and boundless energy to empower attendees to find all the success and fulfillment they seek.

Low is the founder and CEO of U & Improved, an award-winning leadership development company built on the concept of living and leading “with heart and head in alignment.” The Scottsdale-based company’s programs focus on developing the whole person by providing real-life tools and insights to improve both the personal and professional areas of a person’s life. The company’s many workshops, classes and corporate trainings guide people and teams to become increasingly productive, effective, and collaborative.

U & Improved’s Empowerment Series workshops, including “Having It All” and “Keys to Business Success,” provide attendees with tips and motivation in a brisk, occasionally comedic, and insight-filled 90 minutes. The company’s core classes, U the Leader and U the Communicator, offer fully immersive two-and-a-half-day programs to empower graduates to lead and communicate with confidence. U the Warrior and U the Samurai are advanced classes for high-functioning people who seek to challenge their inner strength and take actionable steps toward a life of purpose and passion.

During a recent workshop, Low helped attendees down the path to ownership of their lives and mastery of their happiness by encouraging them to break out of patterns because the decisions and habits of today become the results of tomorrow. She reiterates that her approaches are not just for people at rock bottom. They are also for those whose lives are simply okay—those occupying the space between low-level successes and “living the dream.”

“The worst thing you can do is live a life of mediocrity. It just catches up to all of us and we don’t even realize it,” she said. “We all need a roadmap—the habits that get us to living our dream.”

Fortunately for the workshop’s attendees, Low offers assistance in developing a roadmap through her “10 Keys to Having It All.”

Some of Low’s keys are: focusing on people over money, not feeling guilty, getting organized, having no limits, finding a mentor, and becoming a master. Many of her keys, including “come from abundance, not scarcity,” incorporate the idea of connecting and investing in people.

“When we lock arms and move together, we can shift the way the world works,” she said.

Nearing the conclusion of 90 minutes that flew by in the blink of an eye, Low reminded the audience that she intends to change the way humanity works by helping people “make the journey from head to heart.”

Low’s intentional use of a singular “U” throughout all of the company’s printed materials, website, and social media should leave no doubt about U & Improved’s focus.

“Look in the mirror tonight and say out loud five things that are amazing about yourself,” she said. “It isn’t about saying no to others. It’s about saying yes to you.”
