PHOENIX – The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce appointed six new members to its Valley Young Professionals (VYP) Board of Directors. VYP is a Chamber program for Valley-area professionals ages 25-39 aimed at creating the next generation of Phoenix leaders by informing and educating its members on important issues facing the local community.

The 2017-2018 Board is responsible for overseeing VYP programming, which includes identifying relevant content, timely speakers and new event venues.

The six young professionals joining the 2017-2018 VYP Board are:

Andy Forsell
Zach Hall
Rita Rabbani

“I am so excited to be joining the VYP board for the opportunity to meet other driven professionals in the Valley,” Rabbani said.

Now in its seventh year, the VYP Board is also charged with aligning VYP programming to GPCC’s strategic economic development initiative, Phoenix Forward. The program focuses on business retention and expansion, with particular focus on developing a talented workforce.

Lorna Romero
Lindsey Thompson
Ryan Wright

“These young leaders are critical to growing the Greater Phoenix region,” said Todd Sanders, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. “They are our future business executives, elected officials and non-profit leaders. The Chamber’s VYP program gives them a perfect opportunity to meet each other, grow their networks and learn from current leaders.”

The new Board members bring unique, diverse perspectives to help execute the VYP mission of building lasting relationships, establishing professional development opportunities and acting as a catalyst for change in the community.

“Through our passion, pride, diverse occupations and entrepreneurial efforts, the secret is out that Phoenix is the future for young professionals,” Hall said.
