Kathleen “Katie” Pushor

Katie Pushor assumed the role of president and CEO of the Greater
Phoenix Chamber of
Commerce in January 2006.
The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce was established in 1888 and
represents
more than 3,400 companies. It is Arizona’s oldest and largest
chamber with affiliations
and alliances that include: the Chamber of Commerce at Anthem,
Greater Phoenix Black
Chamber of Commerce and the South Mountain/Laveen Chamber of
Commerce. The
Chamber supports the growth and development of business and the
quality of life in the
communities we serve, champions the voice of business in government,
and keeps
members informed, connected and prosperous.
Prior to taking on this leadership position for the business
community, Pushor worked
and lived in the Valley for over twenty-five years. In March 2003,
she was appointed by
Gov. Janet Napolitano to serve as the Executive Director for the
Arizona Lottery, a 110-
employee agency which generated gross annual revenues in excess of
$390 million. She
oversaw all facets of Lottery operations and reported directly to
the governor as a
member of the Cabinet.
Pushor spent ten years with MicroAge, Inc. serving as Executive Vice
President and
Chief Marketing Officer; and 10 years with Coopers & Lybrand – now
known as
PricewaterhouseCoopers-- as Director of Personnel, Finance and
Administration in the
company’s Phoenix and Indianapolis offices.
Pushor has long played an active role in the local business
community, and currently sits
on the board of Insight, Inc. and chairs the non-profit organization
Alliance for Audience.
She has also served on the national board of directors for
Leadership America, a
nationwide organization of women who lead.
Pushor is an accomplished author and frequent speaker on leadership
and corporate
governance. She recently co-authored the book, Into the Boardroom:
How to Get Your
First Seat on a Corporate Board, and has been recognized in
publications such as
Computer Reseller News, the Phoenix Business Journal and AzBusiness.
Graduating cum laude, Pushor received a Bachelor of Science in
business and accounting
from the University of Colorado. She and her husband of 27 years
live with their four
children in Scottsdale, Arizona.
