On January 14th, the
Arizona Speaker of the House Kirk Adams, with 37 House and Senate
lawmakers, introduced
HB 2250, the Arizona Economic and
Job Recovery bill. The measure strives to create a more
employer-friendly climate, attract and retain base industries,
create jobs with good pay and benefits, and provide needed tax
relief to Arizona’s employers, employees and citizens at-large.
In particular, HB 2250 focuses on four specific
areas: job creation and training programs, incentives to attract new
and retain existing base industry companies in Arizona, tax relief
for small and large employers and economic development programs.
On Friday, January 15th, House Majority Leader John McComish
presented the provisions of HB 2250 to the Greater Phoenix
Chamber of Commerce’s Public Affairs Committee. A copy of his Power
Point presentation can be found
