“The PAC Board always takes this difficult and important task very seriously—and this year was no exception,” said Greater Phoenix Chamber PAC chairman John Moody. “After thorough and thoughtful analysis, the PAC Board has selected candidates who best understand the importance of maintaining a pro-business environment and who are willing to collaborate in order to advance public policy that allows our businesses to prosper, grow and create new jobs while enjoying long-term economic stability.”

“The PAC is a cornerstone of the Chamber, vital to our role of advocating for and supporting our 2,400 member businesses,” said Todd Sanders, Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce president and CEO. “The PAC Board interviewed many well-qualified candidates, carefully considered each candidate’s engagement in the business community and chose to make primary election endorsements of those whose policies and agendas are most closely aligned with the Chamber’s mission of boosting Arizona’s economy through job creation and business retention and expansion.”

The GPCC PAC was established in 1978 to help pro-business candidates get elected to state, county and local offices and ultimately improve the overall business climate in Greater Phoenix. The Chamber first became a Super PAC in 2003—the first Chamber in Arizona to achieve this elite distinction which allows the PAC to drastically increase its support of pro-business candidates. To date, the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce is one of two chambers in the state of Arizona to achieve Super PAC status.

Sanders concluded, “We strongly support pro-business candidates. Each of the candidates we have endorsed will be strong advocates for the business community and will serve their constituents well.”
