Chamber presents “Valley Voices: Veterans at Work” on Thursday, Sept. 22

The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce (GPCC) will host business, education and nonprofit leaders on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, for a community conversation about supporting veterans in the workplace and the resources available to help businesses employ, retain and effectively utilize their dynamic skills.

WHAT: Veterans have unique skill sets and disciplined training that can translate to a stronger workforce. However, transitioning from a military environment back to civilian life can be a difficult time for many veterans and their families. Featured panelists will discuss the challenges veterans and reservists face when reintegrating into the civilian life, why hiring veterans and reservists is good
for business, and how employers can help veterans and reservists succeed in the workplace.
