Chamber’s Valley Voices event series presents “The Intersection of Higher Education and the Economy”
With the well-paying careers of the future requiring increasing levels of training and knowledge, higher education is increasingly recognized as an important component of economic development. As a result, colleges and universities are taking an active role in economic development and public policy to advocate, promote and grow the local economy.
|WHO:||Join the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce to hear two of Arizona’s leading advocates discuss higher education and its role growing the economy: ASU President Dr. Michael Crow and Dr. Maria Harper-Marinick, chancellor of Maricopa Community College District. Moderating the panel discussion will be Steve Seleznow, president and CEO of the Arizona Community Foundation.|
|WHAT:||Crow and Harper-Marinick will discuss the intersection of education, public policy and economic development in Arizona’s higher education landscape and provide an inside glimpse at the education of tomorrow. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with the education leaders after the panel discussion.|
