Since 1987, the Greater Phoenix Chamber has celebrated the achievements of businesses across the Greater Phoenix region through our renowned awards programs. This year, we are thrilled to launch the Excellence in Business Awards to spotlight the best in business in the Valley.
The Excellence in Business Awards recognizes small businesses, mid-sized to large companies, and 501(c)3 nonprofits that are making significant contributions to our state. Nominated companies demonstrate excellence in three key pillars:
- Economic Growth & Business Leadership
- Community Impact & Social Responsibility
- Workplace & Cultural Excellence
Overview of Awards
The Greater Phoenix region is known for its thriving business community. Businesses innovate, advocate, and give back to the local community to drive our economy.
The Excellence in Business Awards recognizes companies that are making significant contributions to our state. The program highlights employers who excel in the three pillars of excellence.
Business sectors are defined as follows: Â
- Small business: 1-99 employees
- Mid-size to large business: 100+ employees
- Nonprofit organization*
*A nonprofit organization is one that holds a 501(c)3 status. Nonprofits may choose to apply in the nonprofit category, or the appropriate business size category.

TIME REQUIREMENTS
- February 13, 2026: Nomination forms are due by 5 p.m.
- February 27, 2026: Application packets due by 5 p.m.
- Finalists will be announced in late March!
- April 17, 2026: Finalist video interview submissions due
- June 9, 2026: Greater Phoenix Chamber Excellence in Business Awards and Member Appreciation Celebration Â
BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY
- Must be a member in good standing with the Greater Phoenix Chamber
- Must be headquartered in Arizona or have a major presence here
- Must be able to meet time commitments (detailed above)
- Must NOT be a government agency or municipality
- Must not be a member-based association
- Must NOT have been named an Excellent in Business or IMPACT Business of the Year recipient in the past ten years.
- All nominees must purchase a minimum of two tickets to the event
- Award Finalists must support the Excellence in Business Awards by purchasing a minimum of one table of ten at the event
- Additional tables/tickets may be purchased
