The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce (GPCC) hosted its Annual Luncheon on June 7, during which President & CEO Todd Sanders presented the Chamber’s 2017 Annual Report, provided a look back at the successes of the past fiscal year and outlined plans and priorities for the year ahead.
Attendees were also treated to a compelling presentation from Craig Drew, Senior Vice President Air Operations/Director of Operations for Southwest Airlines. Drew shared the founding story of Southwest Airlines and how the company uses a dynamic culture to build and maintain a successful airline company with loyal, motivated employees.
Based on nominations and votes from GPCC staff, the Chamber also recognized three “Chamber Champions” for the first time this year. These Chamber members were highlighted for their dedication to helping the Chamber further its goals in pursuit of a strong region.

The Chamber also presented an award that is not given each year. Only when a Chamber member is deserving of very special recognition is the President’s Award for Distinguished Service awarded. And David Bruno of ZRG Partners LLC, was recognized with this honor for his passion and servant leadership on behalf of the Chamber.
