Marcus Benally, Board Chair, Valley Young Professionals

Welcome, Valley Young Professionals!

As I step into the role of Board Chair for the Valley Young Professionals (VYP), I am both honored and excited to embark on this journey with all of you. Our community is vibrant, diverse, and full of potential, and I am thrilled to lead us as we continue to build and expand our network of change-makers in the Valley.

My name is Marcus Benally, and I have a passion for empowering young professionals to reach their fullest potential. My career has been shaped by opportunities to grow and lead, and I am committed to bringing that same spirit of growth and leadership to my role at VYP. I believe that by working together and supporting one another, we can create a thriving environment that not only fosters individual success but also contributes to the larger Phoenix business community. I work in public accounting as a Senior Manager for the Client Advisory & Accounting Services department for REDW LLC. We are one of the larger firms based in the Southwest with a national presence working with Tribal Nations, while serving a wide range of clients, including mid-market businesses, construction & real estate companies, technology firms, healthcare organizations and government entities.

As we look to the future, our goals for VYP are both ambitious and attainable:

  • Expanding Our Network: We aim to grow our membership by reaching out to more young professionals in Phoenix and beyond. By expanding our network, we can increase our collective impact and create more opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
  • Strengthening Professional Development: We will continue to offer high-quality events, workshops, and mentoring opportunities. Our focus will be on ensuring that each member has access to resources that enhance their skills and career prospects.
  • Enhancing Community Engagement: Our commitment to giving back to the community will be stronger than ever. We plan to organize more initiatives that allow us to contribute meaningfully to the local community, creating partnerships that benefit everyone involved.
  • Innovating with Technology: Embracing the latest technologies will allow us to streamline our operations and offer more value to our members. We are looking to implement new digital tools to improve communication, event planning, and networking opportunities.

As I take on this role, I invite each of you to join me on this exciting journey. Your involvement, ideas, and feedback are what drive VYP forward. Together, we can achieve great things, and I am eager to see what we will accomplish in the coming year.

Let us unite as a community, support one another, and create an enriching experience for all involved. Here’s to a year of growth, connection, and success!

Sincerely,

Marcus Benally,
