REDW Advisors & CPAs Launches Corporate Finance, Transaction Advisory Services Practices; Industry Veteran Dan Sporka to Lead Newly Established Practices

REDW Advisors & CPAs is pleased to announce the launch of its dedicated Corporate Finance and Transaction Advisory Services practices: two specialized service lines focused exclusively on M&A transactions, capital raising advisory, strategic deal execution, and financial due diligence. These practices will help businesses navigate major financial events, transactions, and strategic decisions, especially those that involve selling companies and acquiring companies. Combining financial analysis, deal-making expertise, risk assessment, and negotiation skills, REDW Advisors & CPAs will guide clients through complex transactions while protecting value and avoiding pitfalls.

“REDW Advisors & CPAs has transformed from what was once primarily a tax and accounting firm to a company today that provides an array of integrated, multidisciplinary advisory services – including software solutions, wealth management, human resources consulting, forensic & dispute advisory, business valuation, and cybersecurity,” said Steve Cogan, REDW Managing Principal. “The launch of these service lines continues our evolution into a fully integrated firm.”

While the Corporate Finance practice is new to REDW, transaction advisory projects were previously executed by the Valuation and Related Financial Services practice, led by Brian Foltyn.  Foltyn has thirty years of professional experience in both industry and public accounting, which includes business valuation advisory services, strategic planning, dispute advisory, forensic accounting, and transaction advisory services. Foltyn will continue as Principal and Department Head of the Valuation and Related Financial Services practice, but with one less “related service” as Transaction Advisory becomes its own dedicated practice.

“As REDW has grown into a comprehensive advisory firm, we’ve seen increasing demand for transaction-related services from our client base,” said Foltyn. “While our Valuation practice has successfully supported clients with transaction advisory needs, establishing dedicated Corporate Finance and Transaction Advisory practices allows us to expand our capacity and capture more opportunities. This focused approach enables us to serve more clients while maintaining the integrated service model that sets REDW apart.”

Dan Sporka

Led by newly recruited veteran advisor Dan Sporka, the new service lines address distinct client needs: Corporate Finance for strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, and deal execution; and Transaction Advisory Services for transaction financial due diligence.

Sporka, whom Foltyn recruited to lead these new practices based on their successful collaboration on complex transactions, brings nearly two decades of experience to the role. He has extensive experience guiding middle-market and family-owned entities through complex financial decisions and transformative transactions. His deep expertise enables clients to unlock value and advance their long-term goals with advisory that spans strategic financial planning, operational optimization, and deal execution. Sporka earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Michigan State University.

“With a holistic, client-centered approach, Dan will ensure these practices deliver tailored solutions that support growth, succession planning, and liquidity events,” said Cogan. “Under his leadership, REDW clients will gain trusted advisors who combine technical depth with market insight, uncovering opportunities that align financial strategies with overall business objectives.”

These new services come at a time of tremendous growth for the firm. In 2024, REDW moved into a new, 3,126-square-foot office in Oklahoma City after utilizing a shared space since opening an office in the region in 2020. Phoenix-based firm Hatcher Financial also joined REDW in 2024, increasing REDW’s Phoenix office footprint. Through the acquisition, Hatcher Financial, which provides tax and accounting services as well as a suite of wealth management and financial planning to its clients, joined REDW Wealth LLC, an SEC-registered investment advisory firm subsidiary of REDW Advisors & CPAs.

In late 2023, REDW announced the opening of its first Pacific Northwest office via an acquisition with Oregon-based Grove, Mueller & Swank, P.C., as well as its acquisition of Edwards, Largay, Mihaylo & Co. in Phoenix in 2022.

In addition to this strategic growth, REDW was recently named among the top 100 accounting firms in the country by INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA) in its 2025 Top 500 rankings. The annual list, widely regarded as a benchmark of excellence within the profession, ranks the largest U.S.-based accounting firms based on net revenue. REDW earned the No. 96 ranking this year, which is its highest placement to date. This honor comes on the heels of being named among the Top 25 Fastest Growing Firms by Accounting Today earlier this spring, securing the No. 13 overall spot. In addition, Accounting Today also recently named REDW, which has grown to more than 55 principals and nearly 375 employees across its four offices and remote work locations across the globe, to its list of Top 100 Firms nationwide. The firm is listed at No. 98, and the honor marked its first time on the list. REDW was also honored regionally, earning the No. 3 spot on Accounting Today’s Top Firms: Southwest list.
