PHOENIX – In a vibrant celebration of the Arizona Cardinals and the spirit of the Southwest, Cox Communications has partnered with the team and renowned local artist Lucinda “La Morena” Hinojos to bring her artistic vision to life. Her exclusive art, that honors our shared culture, pride and community, is featured on a FREE limited-edition cap— available at Valley Cox retail stores, starting November 19, while supplies last. Reflecting on her artwork that adorns the cap, La Morena shared, “I am so happy and honored with the way it turned out. Not everyone can commission a mural or a canvas, but they can have a piece of me and my work with this hat.”

La Morena, born and raised in Arizona, draws artistic inspiration from her Chicano and Indigenous roots. Her journey into the art world began when she started curating underground art shows in Phoenix. Today, her vibrant work can be seen across the Valley and in national galleries as well as through international commissions and major brand collaborations.

One of La Morena’s most visible commissions, a milestone project that helped make her name widely known, was being named the marquee artist for Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona. It marked the first time an Indigenous artist’s work was featured at the event, appearing on game tickets, buildings, and displays.

Cox has 17 retail store locations in the Phoenix Metro and one in Casa Grande that will be giving the hats away for free (one per person) as long as supplies last. Stores open daily at 10 a.m.; closing hours vary. Locations include:
