Over the past nine months, as the business community has grappled with unforeseen circumstances, the Greater Phoenix Chamber has pivoted and innovated to take care of businesses no matter what.
At the start of the global pandemic and economic crisis, we launched a portal for businesses to easily access resources to endure these challenging times. We then launched our Business in Focus webinar series. Over 10 weeks, we hosted leaders and experts to provide insights to businesses and community members through these turbulent times. In August, the Chamber launched the Arizona Economic Dashboard (the Dashboard), a new tool developed to collect meaningful economic data signaling Arizona’s progress through economic recovery and beyond. It will provide regular updates for the overall economy, including sales tax revenue and the unemployment rate, and focuses on the states of health care, real estate, and workforce.
And, even as our economy begins to recover, we’re still focused on taking care of business.
Next week, in partnership with OH Predictive, we will be launching the Arizona Business Index (ABI). ABI, a tool similar to what was previously known as the Rocky Mountain poll, is a statewide consumer confidence index providing an accurate pulse on key indicators that drive the economy and expert insight into consumer confidence to aid in decision making.
On October 28, our experts will review how the ABI functions, share insights on consumer trends, and demonstrate how your business can effectively utilize this data to grow and thrive.
As our businesses continue to navigate the current economic climate, the ABI will provide actionable data points regarding consumer sentiment and key leading indicators regarding Arizona’s economic recovery and competitiveness on a national scale.
For the past decade, the Chamber has been committed to helping grow the local economy so that Arizona businesses can not only succeed but thrive under any economic climate. And, we are continuing that commitment by developing data-driven tools and resources for your business.
This new tool will help leaders better understand market changes and anticipate consumer shifts that might impact their business.
I hope you’ll join me, and our partners at OH Predictive, on October 28 for the official launch of the ABI and learn how your business can leverage this resource to foster economic gains in the coming quarters.
