On January 13th the Supreme Court blocked the Biden administration from enforcing the vaccine and testing requirements implemented by OSHA for private companies by a 6-3 majority. The rulings came three days after the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s emergency measure for businesses began to take effect. The mandate, which would have impacted over 80 million employees, required that workers at businesses with 100 or more employees get vaccinated or submit a negative Covid test weekly to enter the workplace, and that unvaccinated workers wear masks indoors at work.
