What: It’s no secret that mental health matters now more than ever. While it has always been vital to our whole health, the pandemic has exacerbated the need for mental health services and support.
The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Foundation for Community & Health Advancement is investing $5 million over 3 years to mental health programs and applied research. In 2022, the Foundation will award up to $2 million in grant funding to promote positive mental health and save lives.
The Foundation is accepting mental health proposals now through this Monday, April 4, 2022, for projects that expand statewide resources, reduce stigma, and connect people to care. Potential areas of focus include, but are not limited to:
- Expanding access to mental health services
- Suicide prevention
- Youth mental health
- Intersection of mental health and substance use disorder or health equity
- COVID-19 effect
