CopperPoint: Leading with heart

Proud to be a partner of the Greater Phoenix Chamber for five years.

CopperPoint was founded here in Arizona in 1925 as the Arizona Workers’ Compensation state fund. After becoming a mutual company in 2013, we were determined to build an organization that would make insurance mean more, every day, to more people – especially in our home state, to the lives, the communities and the 7,000-plus local businesses we protect and strengthen.

Now, as a leading specialty insurance carrier with expertise in workers’ compensation and property and casualty coverage, we’re driven by our vision of embodying a new standard for trust, safety, and service, by placing the people we serve at the heart of everything we do.

Accordingly, we’re proud to celebrate our 5th Chamber-versary this year, alongside so many of Phoenix’s finest businesses, as well as being honored to be named as a finalist in the Chamber’s IMPACT Awards for the third time. Our goals are theirs: regional prosperity, economic vitality, and strong communities, as evidenced by the consistent commitment of our employees to the places where we live and work.

Empowered employees elevating our communities.

In 2022, CopperPoint donated over $1.75 million to 352 organizations, over 30% of which was within the Phoenix area. Our employees are encouraged and empowered to make a difference throughout the year by volunteering, corporate matching, and board service. Each of us are granted 12 hours of paid volunteer time annually (last year we all volunteered over 1000 hours), and our people serve on nearly 40 community boards.

Additionally, CopperPoint stages four Giving campaigns for employees each year. Our most recent United Way campaign raised over $234,000, while over half of our employees participated in our “Step Up Challenge” benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Our holiday giving project once again engaged employees to assemble 25,000 “kindness kits” for homeless veterans and families. Our staff also fills backpacks with supplies for local schools and non-profits, having donated over 17,000 of them since 2004.

We couldn’t partner with a better organization than the Greater Phoenix Chamber to make sustainable, ongoing impacts in our neighborhoods. We are gratified by our association and so appreciative of the work that the Chamber accomplishes each year.

We look forward to making insurance mean more to more people – and to many more Chamber-versaries!
