Ideas Collide, a full-service marketing agency, is known for its innovative solutions, creative campaigns, and commitment to community service. Through its philanthropic program, IC Gives, Ideas Collide has significantly impacted Phoenix and Portland communities, illustrating the company’s dedication to social responsibility and community engagement.
Over the past 19 years, IC Gives has donated volunteer time, resources, materials, and various other support to nearly 100 organizations to further their missions and impact within their communities.
Fostering a Culture of Giving among Team Members
IC Gives is a corporate initiative and a core part of Ideas Collide’s culture. The company’s commitment to giving back is deeply ingrained in its values and practices, encouraging team members to participate actively in community service. This culture of giving is evident in the various volunteer opportunities and community projects that Ideas Collide team members are involved in throughout the year.
“Our team members are passionate about making a difference,” said Nichole Abbott, Director of Talent + People Development at Ideas Collide. “We believe in empowering our team to contribute to the causes they care about and provide them with the resources and support to do so.”
The company’s commitment to social responsibility extends to its recruitment and retention strategies. The agency seeks skilled professionals who share the company’s passion for community service. This focus on values-driven recruitment ensures that the company’s culture of giving is continually reinforced and that team members are motivated to contribute to meaningful causes.
Transforming Spaces with Devereux Mural Project
One of the most visually striking examples of IC Gives’s community impact is the mural project for Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona. Devereux, a leading nonprofit provider of behavioral health services, received vibrant murals in their cafe space that would uplift and inspire its residents.
“Our goal was to create a visual representation of hope, resilience, and positivity,” said Vicki Diaz, Senior Brand + Business Development Manager at Ideas Collide, who led the project. “We wanted the murals to be a source of comfort and inspiration for the staff and individuals Devereux serves.”
The project involved designing and creating two large-scale murals that transformed the walls of Devereux’s cafe at their residential treatment center. These murals beautified the space and provided therapeutic benefits to the residents, promoting a sense of calm and well-being. The collaborative effort underscored the power of art in healing and the importance of creating supportive environments for those in need.
This only enhanced the relationship between Devereux and Ideas Collide, who collaborate on the ongoing program Suitcases of Hope.
Empowering Youth through the Community Cycling Center
Another significant initiative supported by IC Gives is the partnership with the Community Cycling Center in Portland, a nonprofit organization dedicated to broadening access to bicycling and its benefits. Ideas Collide created a video that helps their ABC program advocate for inclusive transportation infrastructure.
This advocacy helps the Community Cycling Center reach a wider audience and promote the benefits of cycling and its importance to thriving communities in Portland.
This video expanded the relationship between Ideas Collide and Community Cycling Center. The two partner annually on the Holiday Bike Drive, which provides bicycles to children from low- income families to encourage further physical activity and means of transportation.
Looking Ahead: Expanding the Reach of IC Gives
As Ideas Collide looks to the future, the company remains committed to expanding the reach and impact of IC Gives.
“IC Gives is a testament to our belief that businesses have a responsibility to give back to the communities they serve,” said Matthew Clyde, CEO + Founder of Ideas Collide. “We are dedicated to using our skills, resources, and creativity to make a lasting impact and improve the lives of those in need.”
The IC Gives program exemplifies the decisive role that businesses can play in community development and social responsibility. Ideas Collide has demonstrated its commitment to creating positive change through projects like the Devereux mural and partnerships with organizations like the Community Cycling Center. By fostering a culture of giving among team members and continually seeking new ways to contribute, Ideas Collide sets a compelling example for other businesses to follow.
