FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

September 4, 2024

PHOENIX – The Greater Phoenix Chamber Political Action Committee (Chamber PAC) endorsed 52 candidates before the Primary Election, of which 45 will carry over to the November ballot in local and legislative races. The Chamber PAC has supported business-friendly candidates in local and state races for more than four decades.

The Chamber PAC utilizes a Board of Directors, who conduct a rigorous vetting process to ensure endorsed candidates align with the priorities of the business community. The Board consists of 21 members representing the Chamber’s diverse membership of small, medium, and large businesses.

“The Greater Phoenix Chamber Political Action Committee supports pro-business candidates for state and local offices regardless of political party affiliation,” said Chamber PAC Chair John Moody.  “Having business-friendly lawmakers willing to collaborate to advance policies that will support a prosperous economy in the Greater Phoenix region and throughout Arizona is more important than ever. After a careful assessment and deliberation, we are pleased to endorse candidates who have a solid understanding of issues impacting businesses and the challenges of our current economic and policy climate.”

“The Chamber’s PAC and endorsement process are essential to our mission of advocating for Arizona’s economic growth and prosperity,” said Todd Sanders, president and CEO, Greater Phoenix Chamber. “Our PAC Board carefully reviewed numerous qualified candidates and endorsed those whose policies closely align with our guiding principles and the Chamber’s mission. The candidates we support are committed to Arizona’s economic recovery, job creation, and the retention and expansion of businesses. Their dedication to Arizona’s economic future is truly commendable.”

About the Greater Phoenix Chamber Political Action Committee

The Chamber PAC was established in 1978 to help pro-business candidates get elected to state, county and local offices and ultimately improve the overall business climate in Greater Phoenix. The Chamber first became a Mega PAC in 2003—the first Chamber in Arizona to achieve this elite distinction, which allows the PAC to drastically increase its support of pro-business candidates. To date, the Greater Phoenix Chamber is the only chamber in the state to currently hold Mega PAC status.

Greater Phoenix Chamber

Representing 2,400 businesses across the Greater Phoenix region, the Greater Phoenix Chamber catalyzes regional prosperity through forward-thinking public policy, intentional economic growth, and diverse, prepared talent. The Chamber pursues this mission by collaborating with business, political, and community leaders to grow the regional talent pool, create a regional approach to economic development, and drive a pro-Arizona agenda.
