During the week of May 3–9, 2026, the Greater Phoenix Chamber is proud to celebrate and honor our small business members in recognition of National Small Business Week. The distinction carries special weight, as small businesses account for approximately 98% to 99% of all businesses established within the city limits and State of Arizona.
This week is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the resilience and ingenuity of local businesses, and to reaffirm Greater Phoenix’s reputation as one of the nation’s strongest places to start and grow a company. Across the region, small businesses are a direct reflection of what makes Arizona thrive through a steadily increasing population
“Small Business Week is a reminder that the innovation and determination of the small business community are what drives our region forward. The Greater Phoenix Chamber is proud to stand alongside these entrepreneurs, not just this week, but every day,” said Todd Sanders, President and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Chamber. “These businesses are more than members; they are partners in a shared mission to help everyone thrive.”
That mission is shown clearly through the Chamber’s work with S2RC, a service-disabled veteran-owned and certified defense technology company founded by Richard Stone. S2RC is transitioning its AI-augmented human services technology into commercial markets such as construction and manufacturing. The Chamber has worked alongside S2RC as it navigates the complex journey from government contracting to commercial growth, connecting the company to strategic relationships, and opportunities tailored to its unique needs.
“The Greater Phoenix Chamber is important to expanding our footprint in a meaningful way. As a veteran-owned business, having a Chamber that understands the value of our work and actively helps us to educate our elected officials and other businesses is making a meaningful difference.” said Richard Stone, Founder and CEO of S2RC.
Stone’s experience helps substantiate what the Chamber strives to deliver for every small business member. Here’s to a week of recognition and a future defined by empowerment.
