This week the Greater Phoenix Chamber is recognizing eight Valley businesses for the work that they do in our community.

Started in 1987, the Chamber’s IMPACT Awards honor businesses for their role as Arizona advocates, their strong community focus, their ability to drive our economy, and their emphasis on innovation.

Every year, through this process, I am privileged to get to know valley businesses and organizations that I don’t always have the opportunity to interact with on a regular basis. Through the IMPACT Awards, myself—and the entire Chamber team— learn all about businesses from the inside out. We get to know their teams, their missions, and fully understand what drives them and how they do what they do.

The IMPACT Awards Luncheon provides a platform for our community to come together and witness the great work being done by the IMPACT recipients. These businesses range from small, start-ups that are disrupters in their industry, to large businesses that the support the work of our entire business community. The luncheon is also the best place to make connections with business leaders, and those emerging leaders who walk away inspired to make an impact in their business or community.

In year’s past, we’ve honored every type of business from your local bakery or restaurant to large insurance companies that give back to Arizona in ways that bring us together as a community.

This year I’m looking forward to showcasing our eight recipients. They are leaders in their industries. They are all companies that play an instrumental role in moving our economy forward. And more importantly, they are all businesses that we should know and know well.

I’m thrilled that the Chamber is able to continue to highlight how the business community is leading in Phoenix.

I hope that you will be joining us to as we honor this year’s recipients: APS, Delta Dental of Arizona, Equality Health, ISM Raceway, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Phoenix Suns, Plaza Companies, and SRP.

I can’t wait to see you on Thursday, May 24 for the 31st Annual IMPACT Awards as we reveal the two Business of the Year recipients and we announce an exciting update for the Greater Phoenix Chamber!
