Questions: How do you give back to your community?

Answer: I work in the nonprofit field and have been giving back since I was 10 years old. Coming from a non-traditional background, I have understood what it is like to be both the beneficiary and the benefactor. Find a cause that interests you and then align it with an organization you can be passionate about. Many nonprofits also have young professionals groups so you could give back and get in some networking opportunities all at once.

Question: Why is it important to invest your time to give back?

Answer: Giving back in Phoenix is really great because not only are you helping a particular cause, you can learn more about how to advocate for those same social issues at a local, national and global level to really make sustainable change.

Questions: How do you give back to your community?

Answer: Over the years I’ve worked with many non-profits as a volunteer or board member. I try to focus my time on youth causes when I’m not participating in industry organizations. I’m a new member for the Fiesta Bowl Yellow Jackett Committee, I am Suns Charities 88 member, and I’ve served on many boards such as One n Ten which has helped shape the trajectory of thousands of kids over their 20+ years serving Arizona.

Question: Why is it important to invest your time to give back?

Answer: I try to do anything and everything that impacts our youth from a mentoring perspective. Impact a child and impact many future generations to come. Our communities need many more and stronger role models.

Questions: How do you give back to your community?

Answer: Someone once told me it was important to “give where you get,” which really resonated with me. The Phoenix community has given me a lot of opportunities over the years. I like to give my time and attention in hopes of providing an opportunity to others as well.
