In my time at the Chamber, I’ve seen Phoenix’s economy trend upward and downward, and yet, I’ve never seen an economy quite like the one businesses are experiencing today. This is why, during this unparalleled time filled with challenges, the Greater Phoenix Chamber has been hard at work, creating resources for you and your business.
As the Chamber’s Business Development Director, my role is to work with the Chamber’s members and team to support Phoenix’s business community.
This March, the Chamber team set out to support businesses like never before! Since the start of the global pandemic, our team has changed gears and gone into overdrive to make sure your business has the resources you need to survive this crisis and thrive during our much anticipated economic recovery.
Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve done:
- Getting feedback that matters: Starting in March, we launched a monthly online COVID-19 Impact Survey to solicit meaningful feedback from Chamber members regarding the impacts their businesses are experiencing as a result of COVID-19. The feedback we have received has informed the resources that we provide to our members. Thanks to your feedback, we are able to give you the most relevant information and support as we navigate the next few months.
- Making it easy: The Chamber developed a COVID-19 Business Resource page, so you have actionable information at your fingertips. This includes an SBA loan resource page that provides answers to some of the top questions you may have when it comes to your SBA economic relief options.
- Connecting you to experts: While businesses and employees are adjusting to the new normal of working from home and social distancing, the Chamber created a Business in Focus webinar The series features accessible, interactive webinars where business owners and professionals can learn information vital to the success of their business and gain insights on critical issues to help them stay ahead of the curve.
- Supporting our community: At the Chamber, we are committed to supporting our entire community. That’s why the Chamber and the Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation have launched programs to help the local community. The Chamber is hosting a supply drive for health care and nonprofit organizations in the Valley. We are asking that community members and businesses join us in supporting these organizations in their moment of need. Additionally, the Foundation has partnered with Valley organizations to host a community laptop drive that is connecting students with access to virtual learning.
The way we work may look a little different right now, but you can be confident that the Chamber will continue to serve our members and our community no matter what.
