Hospice of the Valley, which is building a Dementia Care & Education Campus in Phoenix, has started a free virtual support group for dementia care partners. The support group meets Wednesdays, from noon to 1 p.m., and is facilitated by a medical social worker who specializes in dementia.
Join other care partners while remaining in the comfort of your home to discuss the stresses, challenges and rewards of caring for a person living with dementia. Caregivers will need an Internet connection and device such as a smartphone, tablet or computer to use the videoconferencing app Zoom.
Hospice of the Valley’s dementia campus is scheduled to open in 2021 at Indianola Avenue and 44th Street in the Arcadia area.
