Seasoned healthcare finance executive brings nearly three decades of strategic leadership experience to executive team
(SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – July 29, 2026) – Delta Dental of Arizona is pleased to announce that Jonathan Sokeye, CPA, MBA, has joined the health and wellness company as its chief financial officer. In this role, Sokeye will serve as a member of the organization’s executive team while leading finance, accounting and underwriting functions and overseeing facilities and operations. He succeeds Mark Anderson, who recently retired following a decades-long career in finance and healthcare, serving as a key member of Delta Dental of Arizona’s leadership team since 2004.

Sokeye brings nearly 30 years of experience serving as a financial and executive leader, primarily within the healthcare industry. Most recently, he served as health plan chief financial officer for Carolina Complete Health, Inc., a joint venture partnership between the North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) and Centene Corporation. In that role, he led finance, risk adjustment and data analytics, supporting growth from launch to more than $3 billion in annual revenue within five years while consistently exceeding annual operating plan targets through strategic planning, predictive analytics and operational excellence.
Previously, Sokeye served as vice president of finance for Option Care Health and Humana, leading financial planning, treasury, forecasting and strategic business operations. Earlier in his career, he served as business unit chief financial officer for Walgreens Infusion Services. There, he oversaw financial strategy, forecasting and merger and acquisition initiatives for the $1.5 billion business. Sokeye has also held finance leadership positions with Abbott Laboratories and AbbVie, and began his career in public accounting with Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Topel Forman.
In addition to his executive leadership responsibilities, Sokeye has served since 2021 on the board of directors for Lifespace Communities, a national nonprofit senior living organization serving residents across 15 different communities in 7 different states. He currently chairs the organization’s Audit, Risk Management and Quality Committee and serves on its Finance and Investment Committee.
Sokeye earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in finance and entrepreneurship from the University of Illinois. He also completed executive education in Leading with Data and Analytics at the University of Chicago. Sokeye is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant. A Chicago native, he and his wife have three adult children pursuing higher education in engineering and healthcare.
