PHOENIX – The Greater Phoenix Chamber supports the City of Phoenix’s measure to require face masks to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
“Wearing a face mask is a simple way to protect our fellow Arizonans while keeping our economy open and giving businesses the opportunity to move forward,” said Todd Sanders, Greater Phoenix Chamber President and CEO. “We’ve seen many businesses innovative to stay open and stay safe during this time. Face masks are just another tool that businesses can use to keep their employees and patrons safe.”
Face masks, in addition to physical distancing efforts, provide an opportunity for businesses to remain open while supporting public efforts to combat COVID-19.
“We know that a healthy Arizona equals a healthy bottom line for businesses,” said Sanders. “Moving forward, the Greater Phoenix Chamber will be encouraging our member businesses and community partners to wear masks as a part of the #MaskUpAZ campaign.”
