A cornerstone of any thriving community is a high-quality healthcare delivery system, and we must continue to meet the dynamic needs of a growing population by having  skilled healthcare workforce. However, we  are currently facing the daunting reality of a significant shortage. HB 2691 aims to tackle this issue by creating create a statewide workforce program that addresses health professional shortages to meet the state’s healthcare needs and continue to provide high-wage and quality jobs for Arizonans. The bill passed out of the House Appropriations Committee last week and will need to continue through the Legislative process before being officially made into law.
